[Back on the boat, Virgil just had his scrying so rudely interrupted. Pulling up to port is a Dunlorian ship. Bloody Dunlorians. They seem to be navigating by their own light, which explains why despite there being no lighthouse, they haven't crashed horribly on the rocks yet. [Filis is on the ship with you still. Session Start.] * Virgil looks out at the ships, trying to figure out what they're doing here from what he can see. [They seem to be trying to dock. Good thing for ships to be doing at a dock.] [Virgil looks at the other boat and notices figures but can't make out any details just yet.] * Virgil waits and watches! [The ship manages to dock. There's a lot of shouting on board as ropes go over the sides and the anchor is lowered. They seem to know what they're doing.] Wonder what Dunlor's doing here... As do I. I'm not sure... Does it look like a merchant vessel to you? Similar, but not quite... There's some surprises I bet inside of that hull. * Filis nods and looks at him. "Should we investigate?" Do you want to go talk to some people we don't know and leave the ship unattended? * Filis frowns. "I guess not...you worry about the ship that much?" I'm more worried since it's our only way off of this island. * Naiya calls out, when close enough to the boat, "Hooooooy!" And when even closer than that, does the 'getting onto the boat' thing. Naiya! When did you get back here? * Naiya waves cheerfully! "Just about now! The others are in town, still, but I am headed here." Great. Did you do anything about procuring some supplies? * Naiya shakes her head. "Not as of yet. I believe we shall have time for that after a long rest and a big meal, though. The threat looming over this town has appears to passed... at least long enough to rest." Did you notice the Dunlorian ships in the harbor? * Naiya nods. "I had noticed some ships... I didn't recognize their flags, though." Hmm, that's odd. Anyways, they're Dunlorian 'merchant' ships. Definetly has some cannon or something under the hull. * Naiya sits down on something. Hard. She lets out a deep breath after that. "... that just makes things more complicated, I fear." * Filis comes back from semi-inspecting the boat from the railing and blinks at Naiya. "Oh. Didn't hear you come on board. So is everyone coming back?" Of course it does. Eventually. The others are in town for now, though. * Filis frowns and cups her chin in her hands. "Say...." It was Dunlor that warned of the attack on Port Rio, was it not? * Naiya begins the process of taking off her armor. Again. "What is it, Filis?" ... I do not think it was 'Dunlor' so much as the individual. * Virgil nods. * Naiya sets piece by piece of shiny Zaxon plate aside as it comes off, gently. "I... I fear I'm too hurt, and too exhausted to try and talk with them myself." * Filis nods. "Perhaps." She sighs. "I am paranoid of late. I try to tie together too many coincidences." * Naiya mutters something quietly, glancing down at her stomach. "Not fat." * Naiya sighs. "... if it was indeed the Dunlors who opened fire on Port Rio, and they choose to repeat that here..." ... what do we do? One ship alone is not enough to take out a city. Even one as small as this. * Filis sighs. "However...one ship is also not enough to take out a fleet if it comes to that..." * Naiya lies down on the nice, flat, cool wooden deck, and sighs happily. * Virgil hmms. "Well, I'm not feeling like walking over and talking to them right now. I'm feeling like moving on to another port." Fiona willing, we won't sail into -more- trouble. [There's a call from the docks. "Ahoy to ship!"] * Virgil sighs. "Well, I guess they found us." He calls over to the voice. "Ahoy!" * Naiya groans, and gets up. She was so comfortable on the deck not putting any wieght on her legs, too... ;_; * Naiya walks over to the edge of the ship nearest to the call. [Looking up at the deck is a captain. Maybe? It looks like a kid. Maybe it IS, it's hard to tell. But whoever it is looks about 12. He has short blond hair, blue eyes, and an unhealthy grin on his face. He's wearing a blue and white outfit with a tan vest on it and pantaloons and tights. Strapped to his belt are two pistols of fine work. (con)] * Naiya doesn't make it quite that far, though. She finds lying on the deck more attractive than making it all the way to the edge of the ship. [Next to him seems an older woman, probably in her late teens/early twenties. She has a morose expression to her face and silvery white straight hair, chinlength. She's wearing a Dunlor style dress of grey, white and blue and also blue eyes. She's looking silently up with the kid.] So what are you doing in an out of the way place like this eh? Catching the sights? You could say that. What brings you here? * Kid shrugs and smiles. "Just trying to set up shop really. Stopping off on the way to the big city really. Fellow onboard wanted to see if he could unload his goods." * Virgil nods. "Well good luck to you! Say, where did you just come from, anyways?" * Filis is just standing there silent. Her eyes look a little wide on the two. * The woman whispers something in the kid's ear but he waves her off. "Nonsense, nonsense. They're just passing through." He grins back up at them. "From up in Tristan actually. Though she says I need no introduction." He points to the woman and laughs a little. * Virgil nods and smiles. "Tristan, hmmm? That's an interesting port, most known for teaching, right?" Among other things. * Virgil thinks. "Do you think it would be a nice place to visit sometime?" * Shan returns to the ship. [Session Pause]
