[Seekers crew! You're currently investigating a shrine of no entry where the zombies may have came from. Well, little entry. The cave in left it rather worse for wear. Naiya hasn't found much more than a small hole up top to get into and even she can't fit. So is there a way left in?] [Session start.] * Naiya is kinda staying where she is. * Nasira looks up. Impatiently. "Well?" * Naiya scrunches up her nose, and makes a face. "...it said I'm fat!" The hole talks? * Nasira looks to Shan. "Did she just say the hole talks? I think she said the hole talks." [The hole doesn't talk back this time.] * Naiya hmphs. "I'm not fat." And tries to squeeze through again, taking a breath. [Naiya breathes out at the wrong moment. This time, she *does* get stuck. Yep, she's fat.] .... * Shan simultaneously folds her arms and cups her chin, looking at the sundial. "Mmm. I find it doubtful." Yeah, but it could be a zombie hole. * Nasira calls up to Naiya, "Did it say anything else?" * Shan examines said sundial closely. * Naiya pretty much stays where she is. She doesn't have much choice; she's fat. ;_; * Nasira waits for a response, then shrugs to herself and looks at whatever it is Shan's examining. * Naiya, since she can't do much else, looks around UNDER THE SEA. Err. Hole. [The sundial looks well weathered. Odds are it's probably ancient. Though exactly how old is anyone's guess. It seems expertly carved.] [Naiya, on the other hand, can't really see anything. What little light there was streaming through while being this dark was blocked off by the hole she plugged.] * Naiya takes a deep breath, and tries to find some- any- leverage to get the rest of the way through. [Naiya doesn't budge.] * Shan shakes her head. "I don't think this is going to lead anywhere." * Naiya sighs, and flops. [The sundial is also broken, but you knew that.] * Shan calls up to Naiya. "Did you find anything up there?" * Naiya says something that's not loud enough to carry through in response. She does kick her legs, though. * Shan calls back, "What?" [Naiya dislodges a few pebbles down the rubble as she kicks. They go skittering down.] I didn't hear you. * Naiya yells, "I'M STUCK!" back. It's barely loud enough to be heard, and really muffled. * Shan blinks and stares at Naiya. Then she just lowers her head and rubs her forehead. [Indeed. It comes back more like a "Mm Stuuh."] * Nasira calls up, "You're stuck?!" * Shan sighs and glances about the area again. * Naiya flops still again. That's too bad! * Nasira turns to Shan. "Wanna go back to the ship?" Perhaps. I don't think we'll get anywhere here. Yeah. I'll just check for another way in. * Nasira goes about doing that, walking up to the temple and giving it a very careful look over. * Shan does as well! * Shan lights up the area to better search. 'Cause searching in the dark sucks. [There doesn't seem to be anyway into the shrine. However, lighting up the area *does* show a narrow path around the side.] * Nasira points out that area when the light hits it. "Back door, maybe?" * Shan nods. "We shall see." She goes to investigate. * Nasira walks after, leaving Naiya to her fate. Ar har har har har. * Naiya is fat. ;_; [Shan and Nasira walk on. Through the pathway, there are fallen rocks still littered here, though it seems noticeably fewer than the front of the shrine (con)] [It opens into a larger area that seems cruder than the shrine. There are mounds of upturned earth in various scattered spots. The only indication of anything non-natural in the vicinity is a simple pair of sticks tied together to make a symbol much like a cross. It's seems to have the most earth around its area.] * Nasira walks around, looking at the area, and eventually reaches the cross. She peers, getting a closer look. [It's two sticks tied together by an x of string. Not much to describe. It does seem to be slightly singed at the edges.] (How big?) * Shan glances around as well. "I suppose this is where our friends came from." (The sticks? Not very. Best estimate would be they stick out about a foot, if that.) Then they're graves? * Nasira nudges the sticks with her foot. It would appear to be the case. * Nasira doesn't see anything happen when she does that, so she picks the sticks up and walks off to look into one of the graves. [The sticks stay at the angle in which her foot nudges them to.] * Shan halts Nasira. "Don't. If they are graves, we wouldn't wish to disturb them." [And then they're in her hand! Hellfire doesn't rain down when she does that, so maybe vengeance is slow.] * Nasira blinks at Shan, then shrugs and puts the sticks back. "You're the boss, boss." Now she looks in one of the graves. * Shan looks at the back of the shrine. [Nasira can't look much at the graves. The dug earth is very haphazard. It's turned over in heaps and piles and very irregular. She doesn't see any bodies.] [As for the back of the shrine, technically there is no back. It must be carved into the rock fully.] Whoever did this, they weren't very neat about it. * Shan nods. "I would imagine the graves were disturbed already." * Nasira looks around for any exits beyond the way they came. [The location seems to be fairly enclosed. The quickest exit is climbing * Shan rubs her temples. "There doesn't appear to be anything back here, either." It appears our only avenue to any insight in this place has been... blocked. * Nasira sighs. You really want to unblock it? * Shan shakes her head. "Who knows how stable the interior is? If you blow it open, the entire structure might come down." * Nasira nods. I guess we'll have to tell that girl we couldn't find her daddy. * Rowyn has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer ) Seems so. * Nasira sighs. She starts walking back around the temple. * Shan does as well. * Shan takes another look at that necklace she picked up. [Shan and Nasira walk to the front of the temple. The wind picks up in the canyon and starts to blow sharply in between the rocks.] * Shan folds her arms again and glances around once more. "I suspect I can guess what happened. * Nasira brings a hand up to brush some loose hair out of her face. "Yeah?" [Naiya's managed to work her way lose a little. She might have enough leverage to get free now.] * Shan nods. "Though it's only speculation...." * Nasira turns to Shan and gestures for her to go on. I would guess that those men we saw were pirates, using this ancient ruin as their base." She holds up the necklace. "They looted it." * Naiya wiggles a bit. * Nasira looks at that necklace. "And were cursed?" Quite possibly. They all died around the same time, no doubt. It could've happened. But then where'd the rest of the loot go? Well, someone got away. How'd you know? They left a grave marker. * Nasira nods. * Shan sighs. "Not that it does us much good." [Naiya manages to pull her way out without dislodging any of the rocks above or falling to her doom or that.] * Nasira shrugs. "We killed them again. That does more good." * Nasira looks up. "Drat." * Naiya takes a few deep breaths, finally out. She just ... stares at the hole for a moment, sighing to herself. * Shan looks up also. "Did you find anything?" I think she found a hole. [The air out here is much better to breathe.] * Naiya looks flatly back at them. "... there's no light, and it's blue in there." * Virgil calls through the wind in a somewhat windy, but recognizably Virgil, form. "Hello? Can you hear me?" * Naiya blinks. "Virgil?" * Nasira looks around. "Hey, Virgil!" Mm? Wow, this DOES work. Fine work and all, by the way. I'd join you, looks like you took a beating, but I don't even have the slightest clue where you are. Head into the forest. Take a left at the cliff, then go straight ahead past the zombie pirate king. (And straight on till morning) * Naiya frowns, and looks over her path down. You can see us? Yes, speaking of that, did you find anything in town? Any supplies at all? And yes I can. It's a bit taxing, though, I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. * Nasira nods. "We can go back and get some from the remaining townspeople, I think." [Naiya finds a REAL quick way to get down. But she probably should follow the rocks.] * Naiya follows the rocks! That shrine's a very important archeological find. Be careful! * Nasira looks around. "Hey, I didn't do anything!" I'm trying! * Shan looks at that hole again. She turns to Nasira. "Think you could assist me in getting up there? I'd like to take a look inside." * Nasira nods. "Sure thing, boss." She walks over to the wall and looks up. [There's a lotta rocks!] * Naiya tries the going down without falling thing. [Naiya succeeds in that. It's a lot easier going down.] * Shan goes up? Presuming Nasira assists. * Naiya sighs, and gets out of the way of the Wonder Duo. She leans against a rock, arms crossed, and closes her eyes. * Nasira boosts Shan up. She can do it! RAR. (NASIRA R STRNG!) (RAWR) * Shan climbs towards the crack. How big is it? (You shouldn't be looking at someone's crack, should you?) [The crack is fairly small. A child or very thin adult could possibly fit through, but not a full-grown person. Still, there may be enough room to see inside with proper lighting] * Shan lights up her hand and looks inside. [Shan peeks inside. She sees the interior of the shrine. Mostly it's green and actually fairly well carved, though the weathering of time is starting to show. The area on the other side of the whole is fairly sheer though. No way to really climb down. It's more fall through.] [Shan also manages to pick out, off on the distance, that this cave in isn't exclusive. Down the hallway is more rubble blocking the path. At one end is what looks like a statue, though of whom she can't make out. In front of the statue lies what looks like an empty metal holding rack.] * Shan gets down. "Definitely looted. And there's no way inside" * Nasira nods. We'd better get back to town, then. * Shan nods. "We're through here." Gotcha, boss. * Nasira starts walking back! She doesn't pay attention to Naiya. Woot. * Naiya isn't paying any attention to Nasira! She's too absorbed in her own thoughts. [Session End!]
