[Meanwhile, back on the boat with Virgil and Filis, the two Zaxonites are chatting up a storm. Filis is opening up a little bit and revealing her dark deep secrets...or lack thereof. And Virgil's offering his services as a seer. Filis seems hesitant though.] [Start in here.] * Filis glances at Virgil at his question, then slowly glances away. "I'm not sure..." You don't want to know about your past? I would...in a way... ... Yes? * Filis sighs. "I simply...I know the person I am now. I feel to some extent that that is enough. And if perhaps my previous life were less than virtuous..." Does it matter then? That's what I wonder. Still, I am curious... Mmmhmm? * Filis eyes Virgil. "Do you believe you can tell me without returning to Zaxon? I'm...not certain really..." Well, I might be able to, might not. These things aren't consistent. * Filis gets quiet and contemplates. * Filis then responds. "How...um...how did your crew get together?" * Virgil shrugs. "We were all hired out to do some investigative work. I was the navigator and all around mercantile man. They were... Well, most of them were simply hired hands." * Filis glances at Virgil. "Investigative work?" Checking to see the whereabouts of a vanished ship in the Veil. * Filis watches Virgil intently, looking for him to continue. Right, well, we found the ship eventually thanks to a little research and my capabilities, and retrieved the book from aboard that was desired. The ship had sunk into the sea, though. * Filis frowns. "That is a shame. Was the book really that important though?" Apparently. Apparently? You mean you don't know what it was about? * Virgil thinks. "Oh, that's right. It was the diary of a researcher aboard the ship. They were doing some experimenting with the veil." * Filis watches Virgil. "Experimentation? It's just a big misty hole in the sea, isn't it?" Big misty hole that swallows ships up unexpctantly and where compasses go haywire. That's not too common. * Filis hmms. "Perhaps...any conclusions?" Not really, no. Nothing you'd be interested in, anyways. You're sure? Yeah, just some theoretical stuff. * Filis sighs. "So what now?" * Virgil shrugs and looks into his book. "I'm not sure." We can't go back to Port Rio...we have no idea where to go next... Wait for the others to find out what's going on. We need supplies first, though. * Filis frowns. "The others seem to be taking an awful long time.." * Virgil nods. "They probably got into trouble, as usual." * Filis frowns more. 'And you're not concerned?' Of course I am. But there's very little I could do if I went to look for them and ended up in a different mess myself. * Filis thinks for a moment, then perks up. "Seer?" * Virgil hmmms... "I suppose I could try doing a little scrying on them." How does that work? It's not that complicated, but you need the gift of knowing how to work the magic first. [Looks like we'll have to see Virgil's EVIL plot to spy on our crew another time. Because...] [Session End!]
