[Ahoy. Last we left our seekers crew, they were confronted with the dilemma of zombie pirates. After besting the undead hordes, the crew faces some familiar faces. Namely one Zaxon crazywoman Lilith De Lancey and Crew (TM). Naiya left back towards the boat in a hurry to tell Virgil, which leaves Enzo and Nasira in her clutches... err... presence.] [Session Ahoy!] * Enzo eyes the pirate-seeking lady warily. (As opposed to the Caladeem crazywoman, y'know.) (Yup.) * Nasira grins at her. "Well?" * Lilith sheaths her rapier and smiles at Nasira, flicking her hair. "Well what?" What about me? I just wasn't expecting such a familiar face. So what sort of familiar face *were* you expecting, then? Um...none. But these things are too common to be a coincidence. [Enzo notices, by sheer coincidence, three figures walking down the road nearby in one of the side streets. Well, two figures rather. Two human figures. The third figure seems like more of an animal, reptilian in nature. And if you don't count its tail, it's at least as long as the humans are tall.] * Enzo glances over and sees said figures, starting a little bit. "Wow, this place is more crowded than it looks." What things? You find zombie pirates much? Never met them before, myself. They're not very talkative. * Nasira looks over to Enzo. "Yeah?" And then she follows his gaze and blinks. * Enzo replies rather absent-mindedly, still watching the figures. "They say 'hrrnrnnmmurrghrr' a lot, I noticed." Yeah, crazy thing. Must be zombie speak. * Nasira heads on over to the figures. * Lilith smirks. "Well, OBVIOUSLY you're not here for zombie pirates. Unless you had foreknowledge I was not privy to.." She peers at Nasira. "You DON'T have foreknowledge that I am not privy to, do you...?" She then glances where Enzo's pointing. * Enzo follows Nasira. [Nasira sees her very own walking talking SHAN! And with her is Lilith's priestly companion, Valen. She seems to be talking with him and dressing some wounds. Oh, and there's also a...uh...giant bug-eyed lizard with a long tail, long tongue, with leathery green skin and yellow swirls. It's skin is slightly glowing as well.] * Nasira waves. "Hey, boss! Who's the lizard?" * Shan nods to Nasira. "Ah... A pet, of sorts." She looks around, nodding to Enzo and (even) Lilith, as well. * Lilith squeaks in delight and claps her hands together suddenly. She's got that starry eyed look to her. "Barbaras!" She rush forward towards the lizard suddenly. A pet? A- oh. * Valen blinks at Lilith's appearance and then just...sighs. So, did you guys run into zombies, too? * Shan nods. "A good many." * Lilith glomps the giant lizard around the neck and nuzzles it. Awww. Oh, good. I was afraid you'd have missed out on all the fun. Not exactly how I would have described it... Nah, it was great fun. * Valen nods. "It most certainly was not 'fun.'" He glances at Shan. "You were mentioning something about a captain..." * Nasira grins. "Think there's more in this town? We should find where everyone went." * Shan nods. "It appears an entire crew has been affected. I did see a captain, but lost track of him." * Lilith looks at Shan from her lizard-glomp. She's still pressed against him. "Why here though?" That, I couldn't say. Did he run away, then? * Nasira's eye gleams. "Where'd he go?" As I said, I'm not certain. * Nasira sighs. "Damn. Okay, someone should go let Virgil and what's her name know that there's zombie pirates running around. If they're not being eaten, anyway. I think we should- wait. What are you guys doing here, anyway?" * Enzo makes a rude noise. "Naiya went and did that probably. Or maybe she just went to a party." * Lilith lets go of the lizard and puts her fists on her belt buckle proudly, holding her chin up high. "We are here to promote the glory of Zaxon upon this poor village. Of course we could not stand idly by and let these defenseless settlers suffer in their homes against such a threat." * Valen translates. "We got lost." * Lilith sighs and deflates. "...yes. We got lost." Bummer. Too bad. Maybe Virgil can help ya out. * Valen frowns. "But the Lady here spoke of a more serious threat." He gestures to Shan. "She mentioned Port Rio?" * Shan nods. * Nasira looks around, then picks the closest building (they *are* in the middle of a town) and walks over to it. She knocks on the door. * Lilith glances at Valen oddly. "What?" She looks at the group with a touch more seriousness than she's given, well, ever. "What of Port Rio? Tell me." * Enzo winces. It's come under attack. By whom? Don't know. * Nasira frowns and knocks harder. [No answer just yet. Of course they may think you're out to eat their brains.] Hey! I'm not a zombie! Look at me speak Common! (What kind of building is it, GM?) * Enzo looks at Nasira, slightly confused. "Why don't you just use your key?" * Nasira blinks at Enzo. "I'm trying to be polite." And then she kicks the door. It shakes. Oh, okay. [The building is an old stone building. Looks like it might be a two-story house. There's no signs to indicate shopitude or anything. The door is heavy oak.] [The door doesn't open at Nasira's kick. At least not right away. Moments later, it opens a crack. There's a dirty little girl peeking out at doorknob height. She's got a grungy face, deep brown eyes, and curls of brown hair flopping down in front of her face at points. She peers at all you crazy people.] Hi! * Nasira crouches down, smiling at the little girl. It's a surprisingly not- crazy smile. "Hi." * Shan looks over that way. [The girl disappears inside the house at the "hi" and shuts the door quickly. Skittish little thing.] * Nasira sighs and knocks again. Don't worry, we're not going to kill you! Promise! [It takes longer, and the door opens slower, but she peers out again. "Um...hi?"] [She then looks at Enzo, shrieks, then shuts the door again. ] Aw, man. That almost never doesn't work. * Shan eyes Enzo. * Enzo looks back at Shan innocently. "What?" Nothing. * Nasira shakes her finger at Enzo. "You're scaring the kids." Oh. Okay! Stop scaring the kids, kid. * Nasira knocks on the door *again*. * Enzo looks down. "I'm sorry, Nasira." ._. * Enzo shuffles off to hang out by Shan so's he won't scare the kid(s). It's okay, he's gone. Well, a little away, anyhow. He won't hurt ya. Go away! Nope! Gotta know what's up with the zombie pirates so we can get rid of them, and you don't need to hide in your house anymore! You're going to EAT ME! * Shan eyes Enzo again. * Nasira rolls her eye. "Come on, I'm not a cannibal." * Enzo opens his mouth, then shuts it again as Shan eyes him. ._. You could be! Zombies eat brains you know! Not if you stab them first! This is pointless. * Nasira looks to Enzo. "I think you gotta apologize to her." ...stab them? Yeah! We fought off all the zombies hanging outside your house. Can't have them trying to eat brains. Yeah? How do I know YOU'RE not a zombie? * Enzo peeks out from around Shan and looks at the door. "I'm sorry! I wasn't trying to scare you! I was telling the truth!" There, see? He said he's sorry. That's preposterous. Zombies are not allowed to work for the Chu-Lin government. And you should listen to the boss, 'cause she's a government official. Yeah! How do I know you're not zombies in disguise? That'd be dumb. Zombies aren't smart enough to make disguises. I mean...that's just the thing a zombie who'd wanna eat someone would WANT you to think. *sounds hesitant* ...are you sure? Sure I'm sure. Hardly. Zombies aren't smart enough to do that. Vampires are much more likely to try such a trick. * Nasira makes shushing gestures at Shan. Anyway zombies don't talk! They just say 'hrrrmghurrhnhrghmhgrrhgrhhh' a lot!" Really truly absolutely positively sure? Sure as sure can be! *thoughtful hesitation* ...I knew it. You're vampires instead! I knew that was coming. Preposterious. We clearly don't hop like vampires. Plus we're cooler! You're vampires who are controlling the zombies! See! Daddy always told me I was smart. ...maybe we should try another house. I'm starting to think she might be right. What, that we're vampires? Well, not us, but... * Enzo glances at Lilith. Or maybe the girl's the REAL vampire! * Nasira snaps her fingers. "And she's trying to lure us in!" * Enzo says that last in a slightly louder voice. I knew it! * Lilith and Valen are just standing by, watching you curiously. * Shan does too, at this point. * Shan does, however, retrieve her feather fan. 'Cause it's cool. Now that's just stupid. Why would I want you in here when the zombies are out THERE? So you don't need to fight the zombies for us. But that's okay, we figured you out. If I were really a zombie-controlling vampire, I'd just direct the zombies to you so they could eat you. The zombies are a feint designed to drive us into your home so you can corner us. Well, we got rid of all the ones out here, but you probably have more in there! ...you what? If we were eaten by zombies, you wouldn't be able to eat us. * Shan smiles to herself. "A clever ploy, but I've seen through it. You..." then she stops, wondering why she's bothering to argue this in the first place. [About then, the girl starts edging the door open again. She peeks out hesitantly. "You mean...you're not vampires..." See? No fangs. ...or zombies... No rotting body parts. No teeth falling out. * Enzo nodnods, careful to stay behind Shan in case he becomes MISTAR SCARY again. [The girl inspects you all for a second, and then... "...werewolves?"] Probably not. * Nasira shakes her head. "Besides, it'd only matter in a full moon." [The girl glances at the moon for a second, just in case, and then slowly back to all of you. "...so the zombies are really gone?" She steps out hesitantly. * Enzo looks around to check. "Looks like it, yep!" * Nasira nods. "At least, the ones around here are. Do you know when they showed up?" * Girl frowns. "I don't know...they've been her a little while...couple days, at least...errr...Daddy never came back..." Her head droops a little. Now that she's actually stepped outside, she looks like she's around 10-12. * Nasira crouches by the girl and gets a good look at her eyes and face. "Do you know where he went?" [The girl points down towards the edge of town, further inland.] * Nasira nods. "That way, okay. Why did he go there?" Who is your daddy, anyway? Dunno. He never told me... Did he take anything with him? * Girl looks at Enzo. "Who is he? Why? Think you know him?" No, but I was curious! * Girl looks at Nasira for a second and thinks. "Mmm...well the clothes on his back for one thing. And his daddy's musket. He always talked about that." He took a gun? Okay. We're gonna see if we can get your daddy back. * Girl nods once. * Nasira ruffles the girl's hair. "You stay in the house and lock the door just in case more zombies come by." 'kay! * Girl goes in quickly and closes the door! It locks before anyone says anything. Unless it's us. Unless we're zom--oh well. I think she gets it. * Nasira stands and looks to Shan. "So, boss. Zombie hunting?" * Enzo shrugs. * Shan sighs. "I guess so." * Nasira grins. "Great!" She looks at the other two. "How about you?" * Lilith clears her throat into her glove. "So...what are you going to do?" * Nasira points. "Go that way." Kill zombies. So it seems. * Lilith scratches her chin. "I'd like to. But my obligation is to find out what is happening at Port Rio. This disturbs me." * Valen looks at Lilith in an odd way, as if he's unsure if this is one of her rare sensible moments or if she's leading him into even more trouble. ...you have a point. * Lilith shakes her head and points to herself. "We have a capable ship. I assume you do not, otherwise you would have stayed there. You are probably best off here." Well, it *was* sorta capable... Might still be, but I don't know how to fix it up right. * Nasira shrugs. "Sure. I guess cannonballs are more important to some people than zombies." At least they're not cannonball zombies. * Lilith glares at Nasira. "If I did not know better, I would swear that is some sort of insult." * Shan rubs her forehead. * Valen just sighs and grabs Lilith by the elbow. "Come, my Lady. I'm certain she meant no slight." * Nasira grins. "C'mon, I don't *insult* people. That means I actually care." * Nasira turns and walks off in the direction the kid pointed. "Good luck." See? * Lilith hmmphs, and swivels around on her heels. "COME, Valen. There's important work to be done." * Valen sighs and bows to the rest of you before walking after Lilith. Is it just you or is he walking purposely slow? [Barbaras stays behind, blinking his reptillian eyes at the lot of you and flicking his tongue out.] * Enzo waves at Barbaras. "Hi! Are you coming along?" * Shan glances at the lizard. But it's a non-angry glance. [It glances back at Shan.] [It then turns and paces after Lilith.] * Enzo shrugs. "Guess not." * Nasira calls, "Oh yeah, and unless you're gonna steal a ship, you'll have to find someone to buy it from! Just a heads up." [And so they went to destroy the undead. Upon their success, Shan returned to Chu-Lin, and was promoted to Lord Chancellor of Everything Everywhere.] [The latter is yet to be seen. Actually the former is too. For next time!] [Session End!]
